Well, its been a hot topic for the past few week on Tuesday night, now it time to make it happen! The first meetup for folks interested in writing for DiscoveringHuntsville.com has been set for next Tuesday night, June 8th, at West End Grill. We’ll start talking DH around 7:00 as the BnB meetup is wrapping up.

If you are not familiar with DiscoveringHuntsville.com, let me give you the quick run-down.

DiscoveringHuntsville.com is a brand new blog / website about, you guess it, Huntsville! But not just Huntsville. We want to make DH a resource for our extended area around Huntsville. The plan is to launch the site before the end of June with original content about the community we call home. The best places to eat, best coffee shops, where to find a good plumber or see a great movie. We even have a couple of authors lined up already to bring us stories of Huntsville’s past. VERY exciting stuff!!

Best of all, DiscoveringHuntsville.com will be a platform to support community generated content! If you’re interested in reading about Huntsville, DH will be the place to come. And if you’re interested in writing, shooting photos, videos, or creating original podcasts… DH will be the place for that as well! You can even make a little extra cash by contributing… and not the .002 cents per page view you get other places! Our model is built around sharing the success of the site with the contributors that make it successful!

@FilmLadd did not come to bnb last week because he is a doucebag. @FatherPhoenix and @jeepcat did drop by around 1830ish because they were in town and are not douchebags. We haven't heard from @russellcrosswy since his rookie attendance.

For reasons that I cannot divulge here, I will NOT be in attendance June 1st. I know that this will be a big blow to the group as I have made every B n' B since my debut, but I WILL be back the following week.

Speaking of June 8, you are all invited to attend B n' B for a very special presentation. @jtrigsby will be giving a presentation to writers interested in writing for a hyper-local news site. Beats include Night LIfe, Restaurant Reviews, Entertainment and Politics. There will be revenue share from three different categories: page views, content generation and ad sales.

If you've ever wanted to be a journalist, get paid for what you write or just plain think that you can do a better job than the competition *cough*@hsvtimes then you don't want to miss this meeting, nor does your writer friend who has similar aspirations.
